Semen Gresik Sends 38 Assisted MSMEs & Their 243 Products for Jateng Fair 2023
Rembang, July 4, 2023 – PT Semen Gresik via Rumah BUMN (RB) Rembang sent and promoted 243 types of products developed by 38 assisted MSMEs for Jateng Fair 2023, an event held at Komplek PRPP Semarang on June 30–July 16, 2023.
The prestigious, national-level event, the theme of which is “Inspiring Batik”, presents various exhibits of development, MSMEs, communities, art festivals, entertainment stages, and music performances from national acts.
The event was opened by Deputy Governor of Central Java, Taj Yasin Maimoen, and the opening was attended by representatives of regency/city-level governments, Central Java’s state-owned/region-owned enterprises (BUMNs/BUMDs), as well as related agencies.
“I am confident that this event can improve Central Java’s economies. A lot of people and entrepreneurs are delighted [at the event] as it is an opportunity where big businesses and MSMEs can promote [themselves],” said the Deputy, also known as Gus Yasin, when he opened the Jateng Fair 2023 at Kompleks PRPP Kota Semarang on Friday night (Jun. 30).
He said that not only business actors but also local governments as well as BUMNs/BUMDs who were expected to promote the potential of their respective regions should fully take advantage of this event. This was because the event could become a magnet and alternative entertainment for residents of Central Java and surrounding areas.
Meanwhile, PT Semen Gresik’s Senior Manager of Communication & CSR, Dharma Sunyata, stated that through RB Rembang-assisted MSMEs, PT Semen Gresik put effort into promoting different types of potential unique to Rembang by joining various exhibition events, such as the Jateng Fair.
“With curation conducted by RB Rembang, we sent 243 types of products developed by 38 assisted MSMEs for the Jateng Fair 2023. The products sent are of fashion, handcraft, food, beverage, and batik sectors,” Dharma said.
Dharma further added that PT Semen Gresik was constantly committed to supporting the empowerment of assisted MSMEs in marketing and commercial exposure. “It is expected that the MSMEs can level up, become highly competitive, and expand their business markets,” Dharma said in his press statement (Jul. 4).
Dharma added that RB Rembang, since its establishment almost 3 years ago, had successfully made sales worth Rp 2.8 billion, bringing more than 272 MSMEs to a higher level. RB Rembang had even successfully achieved the great accomplishment of getting thousands of Rembang’s MSME products to “go global”, by taking part in the Tong Tong Fair in The Hague, Netherlands, in September 2022.
At the fair, RB Rembang promoted not only the products of the assisted MSMEs but also the qualities of PT Semen Gresik as an environmentally-friendly company with modern facilities. “Following the company’s commitments, Semen Gresik wishes to continuously grow alongside society and contribute to the conservation of the environment,” Dharma concluded.
